David Bowlin, Violin
Violinist DAVID BOWLIN has achieved distinction as an artist through his performances throughout North America and his recent tours
of Poland and Mexico. In 2003, Mr. Bowlin was the first prize winner of the Washington International Competition for Strings.
DAVID BOWLIN has performed concertos with orchestras in New York and Washington, D.C. At Weill Recital Hall, April 2007, he presented the world premiere
of Mahagoni, a concerto for violin and chamber orchestra. The concerto was written expressly for him by Bulgarian composer
Alexandra Hermentin-Karastoyanova.
Recently DAVID BOWLIN has given recitals in New York, Washington D.C., Illinois, Maine, and Ohio.
DAVID BOWLIN is a founding member of the International Contemporary Ensemble and formerly performed with the Da Capo Chamber Players.
During summer 2008, David will perform at the Eastern Shore Chamber Music Festival (Easton, MD) on June 13, 14, and 15.
He will be at the Marlboro Music Festival all summer. In April he toured with Musicians from Marlboro with Kim Kashkashian and performed in Greenwich, CT,
Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York, and Boston. This May he is performing on his own festival, Chamber Music Quad-Cities, playing music of Mozart, Brahms, Bartok, and a young Bulgarian composer Alexandra Hermentin.
